Disability Support Officer 

Permanent - Part Time - Commencing ASAP

Do you have

A tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. Certificate IV in Disability).  Knowledge of a wide range of learning and developmental disabilities.   Experience in challenging the behavioural choices of young people living with one or more disabilities.  Highly developed verbal and written communication skills; the ability to engage with students, staff and families in an inclusive and positive manner.  Great time management skills; the ability to balance priorities effectively.

We’re a growing high school that’s looking for a Disability Support Officer (DSO) to join us in 2025 to support students with complex disabilities and extensive and specific learning needs. 

You’ll be able to

Support the students of the Margaret More Centre (MMC) so they reach a position in which they are ready to engage in the learning process.  Collaborate with staff and external providers to provide consistent support for students living with a disability.  Develop and implement appropriate structures and supports for students within the MMC.  Support teachers in the maintenance of a positive learning environment.  Assist with the care of students on excursions, sports days, work experience and other classroom activities, which may include disability support.

VET Registrar

We’re a growing high school that’s looking for an experienced administrator that has an understanding of VET organisations and processes to join us in 2025! 

About you:  

  • Work with students and families, facilitating all aspects of VET enrolments.  
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of career development events.  
  • Maintain responsibility for the financial aspects of VET courses.  
  • Be a point of contact for VET-related queries in the College. 

Do you have? 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in administration roles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of VET organisations including group training or Recognised Training Organisations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of VET processes (VETRO).
  • Experience with a Culturally & Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community. 
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills; the ability to engage with students, staff and families in an inclusive and positive manner.
  • Great time management skills; the ability to balance priorities effectively.
