Library Technician: Research and Innovation Hub

Permanent - Grade 4 - Mon to Fri

Role Details

Due to an exciting period of growth, we're on the lookout for a superstar to join us as our Library Technician, a brand new role at Thomas More College. 

The Library Technician will oversee the daily operations of the Research and Innovation Hub (our 'Library') at Thomas More College. 

The role will include: 

  • Managing the library collection, by utilising professional and relevant theoretical knowledge. 
  • Supporting the Leader of Research and Resources in delivering a friendly, vibrant, and innovative Research and Innovation Hub to staff and students. 
  • Supervising and supporting the Research and Innovation Hub (Library) staff. 
  • Managing library databases. 
  • Supporting the practical implementation of our 'Lumination' Lab. 

Do you have:

  • Minimum of a Diploma of Library and Information Services or similar. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills which demonstrate positive and restorative approaches to relationships. 
  • A high level of oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive to a broad variety of situations. 
  • Experience in using technologies such as 3D printers would be an advantage.

We’re a growing high school that’s looking for a permanent food technologies teacher to join us from 2025!

 

You’ll be able to:

  • Develop and deliver food technologies curriculum.
  • Design and implement various teaching strategies that are responsive to the learning strengths and needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Use Restorative Practices to establish and maintain positive relationships with students.

Do you have?

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills; the ability to engage with students, staff and families in an inclusive and positive manner.
  • Great time management skills; the ability to balance priorities effectively.
  • SA Teachers Registration and the drive to make a difference in the lives of young people.
