Amazing 2017 SACE Results
As a community we celebrate the outstanding success achieved by the students at Thomas More College in their SACE Stage 2 results for 2017.
This is the result of 13 years of education and therefore should be something that we all celebrate.
A snapshot of our 2017 Stage 2 results are as follows:
This year our community has achieved a 100% SACE Completion. This means that every student that completed Year 12 also achieved their Year 12 SACE Certificate. An outstanding 4.93% improvement from 2016.
By way of comparison the State Average was 97.33%.
We are pleased to announce that Thi Thu Nguyet NGUYEN is Dux for 2017. She obtained an ATAR of 99.45. This is an outstanding achievement.

118 of our Stage Two students gained an ATAR.
- The median ATAR was 71.9 (1.55 increase from 2016)
- ATAR 90-99 17 students (11.1%)
- ATAR 80-89 31 students (20.4%)
- 34 (22%) students who were not eligible for an ATAR gained their SACE Certificate.
- 35 Stage 2 students with Cert 3 or higher (23% students) used VET qualifications to achieve the SACE.
- 1 Vanier Unit student completed their SACE
- 39 of our students achieved their SACE with 50 extra credits (250 credits or more)
In Brief
In 2017 with our overall SACE results have improved again we have a number of key celebrations for the College.
For the first time in our College's history 100% of our students received their SACE
21% of students achieved in the A band for at least one of their subjects
We can see a significant shift in the attainment of our students with a much larger percentage of students achieving a B grade or better.
